One More New Story
Hi to all and best fishes,...Really enjoy Ifish and all it brings. I fish and hunt and will keep the tradition going in my fam.
A few years back my neighbor took a couple of my kids and I out on his boat to go shad fishin'. He taught us that to have a successful time out, we would need to, "Do the fish dance." It would consist of moving your hips about and waving your arms in a matter like you just caught a fish and were celebrating, but doing the dance when you got anckored and set up. Well the kids took to that and were very creative and yes I did my own dance too. We also gleaned from our neighbor a great saying when things on the boat get a little slow,....ca'mon shiney eyes...ya know, talk to the fish, you know the fish are there,just talk to'em. My neighbor who by the way is great with kids says, he rather fish than live! Time has passed and the kids are older and the ol'e fish dance seems to be just a little harder to extract from them. But don't fret, the tradition continues with every boat trip we take.....and we now influence every one to make an attempt when fishing to get up and, Do the fish dance!.........Thank you all for your stories and enriching our lives as you do......on a daily basis. :smile:
