Default Three Rivers 1-3-05

River was low and clear. Went 0-1 (spit the hook right at the bank ). Saw very few other fishermen, no fish. Tried the pink worms for the second time, I think I like 'em; I've hooked two fish on two slow days, the only times I've tried 'em. Be careful if you head that way, it was pretty icy this morning, and in the shady spots on the way home.

Thank you for giving a report, the pink worm can be deadly at times .

How do you rig a pink worm? I was going to try one and see what happens but i'm not sure about the hook up.

Thanks,

lots of different ways to rig em. I like using a worm threader and threading it m drift rig so that only the tail is haning off by the hook. You can use a puff ball on the hook to help keeping it from sliding down when you're fishing it.

Here is another way that may work for you. Looks like this way will not want to slide down and ball up as bad.

I did mine like the first pic from this board (with a corkie on top threaded w/ a bait threader). in fact that's how I got my info on how to rig it!
The fish I've hooked really hit it hard too. It may be coincidence, but both hits were just as my rig was coming off the botton at the end of the drift. I have confidence in this rig, now all I have to do is land one on it!
