Ifish Kwikfish 2005-POLL - LAST day!!!

OK, here it is … the first round of the Ifish Kwikfish poll … I’ve tried to get everyone’s idea on the list. Please vote for your favorite. We will then select the top two or three (or 4) vote getters and have a Second Poll. This poll will be up for until Sunday to give people a chance to vote.

Please note that I have done my best to identify what people are describing in words – it isn’t always easy! Some people suggested one thing with many variations. Some are partial suggestions, but aren’t complete designs, so I couldn’t really include them. I think we have enough for a start, all right? Apologies for my shortcomings, errors and misstatements. Let’s vote!

Note also that we will be constrained by what is possible – Luhr Jensen will do their best to accommodate us, but they don’t have an unlimited supply of colors and masks and processes, so what we request is subject to what they can do.

Also, we’ll discuss this with Luhr Jensen when we set up the order. If we can do it, we will! Jennie was thinking it would be fun, that whoever wins the design, to see if LJ would print that on the Kwickie, too! Like Ifish.net 2005 "row vs. wade" or whatever.

Here's the list of candidates - you can review them before voting: (Be kind - I did my best to represent all the candidates in a uniform format - the metallic colors aren't shown as metallic and the designs might not be exact - they are general representations - please use your imagination to understand what they will look like when done professionally!)

Number 1: eyeFISH

metallic chartreuse base (like in the Fickle Pickle), a bright green (green like in the Grinch or Cheese measles) racing stripe on the back, and the same bright green in a scale pattern on the sides (like in the pirate-type plugs). I called it the Green Machine (or The Grinch)



Number 2: The Overfishing Condition

Purple tiger stripes on magenta/hot pink metallic body



Number 3: BCF

Pink/White pearled body with black tiger stripes and a chartreuse butt



Number 4: Fshklr

Metallic Purple and then the Chartreuse tail and stripes – maybe even alternating Green and Chartreuse stripes



Number 5: Mojo

BW-29 color for a base and Chartreuse tail and bill, with Chartreuse spots or stripes



Number 6: Pickles

Metallic blue body with chartreuse spots



Number 7: Slabhunter

Metallic pink body with blue/purple tiger stripes and chartreuse bill



Number 8: Spotted Owl

Chrome body with chartreuse stripes along side and pink and purple measles



Number 9: KChookem

pinkish-red, with a black lace-scale pattern on the sides



Number 10: River-Dweller

metallic purple body with black herring bones and a chartreuse back-end



Number 11: Jennie

hot pink/purple body, with black ribs and a chartreuse butt



Number 12: Jett’in Fool

Metallic cerise base with green tail blending to chartreuse with black scales



Number 13: FWF1

half red, half white on the head and tail, and red and/or white stripes on the sides



Number 14: Buck

metallic red, pearl white, and metallic blue as a patriotic tribute to the ifish members who are in the military? Could be a metallic red head, metallic blue on silver back with metallic blue tail, and a pearl white underbelly



Number 15: Nookie Monster

Metallic pink with chartreuse bill and tail

FYI, the plug described as the eyeFISH design, was already released a few years ago.

If you read my original post about it (using the link Pete provided) I suggested adding either a chartreuse belly stripe ... OR... a green/chartreuse butt (a la Grinch) to make it a new original design.

Not that it really matters.... the eyeFISH plug is the only one up there in the well-worn chartreuse and green color scheme. Just didn't want the 2005 Kwik to be a simple re-hash of something old... gotta make Luhr Jensen work a little bit to earn their keep. :grin:

Not to be a pain is behind....sure would be nice to get pics and or artist's renderings of the plugs up for considerations.

I am just too dyslexic, or is it lexdysic, to comprehend the candidates without the assistance of visual aids.

Once we get 'em narrowed down to the top 3 or 4, I'll see what I can do about getting LJ to paint up some prototypes to post on the board. Then we will do a final poll. May the best plug win!

If someone has the time and the skills, I'd like to see some photoshop'd renderings of what these things look like. By the time the second color comes into play, I'm lost like the first time I went through the corkie aisle at FMS.

Ampersat, I have neither the time, nor the artisitic or cognitive skills to do this right, but I gave it a shot. Does that help? Or does it just highlight my inability to remember what the difference between "Scale", "Stripes", "tiger stripes", "bars", "lines" etc... are?
