Default "Where are the Steelhead!?"

I am posting this on this because its on another fishing board and I wanted you fellow Ifisher's to put some opinions on this statement as to how this winter is shaping up to be good or bad for the costal rivers or inland rivers?? I know that its early to tell about the inland streams like the sandy or clack but those rivers seem to be good no matter what

With the water conditions being the way they have been I can't say the run is a bad one just yet. I have caught fish every time out but it could be better for sure.

Seems if you are there just after the meager rain falls we've had the fish are there, I like to go to the 4lb or 6lb and limber rod and very small baits....no weight just an offering. Seems to work well if you have paitence and fish all the pockets. They are there just a bit more spooky.

I see what you mean basically summer conditions on some coastal streams so go very small
