Default Clacka Chromer.

fished the clackamas today. started off slow for about the first hour until we drifted back through the same spot about 3 times and on the third pass i hooked up with my second steelhead EVER. we got it too the boat after a short fight, and it was a chromer hen. only about 6 or 7 pounds but it was definitally fun. caught it on eggs and a pink corky. i had an awsome time. i have pics but i cant get the size below 229k, so if anyone knows how to get it down for me that would be awsome.

Irfanview is the name of a great freeware photo editing program. Google will turn up a download site.

Nice job dude

Chris

ps- I found a killer photo editor from downloads.com called Faststone Capture. It's really easy to use, and allows you lots of cool options. It's free too!

Nice fish, that looks like the run below the island at Bonnie Luhr. I could be mistaken though........

FishrKid Way to go and welcome to the best darn sit on the internet. This is a great neighborhood and you will learn a lot as your surf.
I am envious as I cannot find fish in the Clack., just to much water for me to figure out. Never forget where you hook a fish because there will be another one there tomorrow..

Drove up Clackamas River Drive this morning between 205 and Carver. Only saw one boat and it had a jumping steelhead attached making quite a large splash. Looked like few people on the lower river with good odds.

Not so sure that's a Summer fish, eggs will tell the story. I've caught a bazillion Summers in Dec. and the hens have never looked like that.
AD only clip is basic for a Summer fish on the CLACK but the straying ratio comes into play, lots of fish head to rivers they ain't supposed to be in. Many coastal clips for Winters are AD only.
Regardless of all that, NICE feesh!!!
