Default Gov Island docks

I was out on the river yesterday and noticed that the docks that are on the north side of Government Island where the wavemakers tie up in the summer have been dismantled. Does anyone know if they are being rebuilt...there are bathroom facilities there so i would think so...any info would be appreciated

Thanks,

I was fishing that area on Friday, and probably saw your boat there, with the white wide stripe on the side. I have tried that spot this October for sturgeon with out any bites, was wondereing how it is in the winter?

Is there any fees to use the dock, for quick needs? Is it open to the publik?

Dinikin....There are no use fees for those docks. There's another set of docks a little further down river if you weren't aware.

Mrdorkfish, Isn't it a bit early for you to be going for springers? Jeez, you at least oughta' be fishing down river more

Smj,

Springer fishing is closed in that area.
Mrdorkfish is probably sturgeon or steelhead fishing?

Very cool..that new dock sounds great...the wife likes to go there much better than in the boat.

Dinikin , That be me  I was just out joy riding that day to get the boat wet..she hadn't been out since early Nov. I did anchor to try out some spinners and even dropped an F7 down for a bit (steelhead). No fish but it was a great day to be on the water. The wind started to kick up around 2:00 when i went in. SMJ, I was just checking things out, The bottom is looking alot like last year...no drastic changes of yet.
