Don't know about Winchester Bay, but I was crabbing in Coos Bay Friday. Lots of crabs in very good shape. Many jumbo size and easy limits. The biggest were inside of #5 can along the cribs. Makes me believe that Winchester Bay will produce also.

Usually the later into November you can crab the better it is at Winchester. The Umpqua hasn't had it's first big flush of the year yet so the crabs should be thick and full of meat. Keep an eye on the forecast because once the river blows out, all of the crabs go out to sea with it and you'll have to wait until next year. Good Luck.
