Default How about a free firewall?

Got the adware and everytime I run the thing it finds 6-15 new ones. No what do I need now? A firewall? I am tired of my computer running crappy so I am finally trying to do something about it.

I ran the scan, posted this thread. Went to yahoo and searched for free firewall. Clicked on a site. Downloaded zonealarm. Ran the scan again and it found another one. This is rediculous.

My firewall doesn't stop spyware. Is it supposed to?

Keep updating your definitions and run multiple adware/spy programs. Adware/spy programs will be identified and added to your "quarantine" list. Eventually, you will see a decline in the number of these files that you find.

I run Adaware, Spybot, Registry Mechanic and one other I can't remember the name of right now. I also run Zonealarm Pro and Norton Antivirus. Seems like the pay versions have the mpst protection from infection. The freebies seem to be more about removing than preventing.

Google Adware and Spyware. You will see reviews of the most popular. PC Tools is a trusted site, you d need to be aware of who is providing the review as some as just trying to sell their product.

Good luck.
