Son scores again
My son bagged a 6x6 elk yesterday. It was Oct 16.
Last year he harvested a 5x5, Oct. 16.
No pictures yet but this 6x6 is NICE.
Shot on the same hill as last years elk, approx. a mile from our house.

Re: Son scores again
Ya Ya Nov.16th, not Oct. 16th. I,m still excited about the whole thing and can,t think straight.
My hunt starts this saturday and I will be hunting the same area. Its all private property but the land owners are friendly to the neighbors at least. Longview owns some of it and those lands are pretty much open to all. We got the elk out in 1 piece with help from the neighbors
It filled up the bed of my toyota quite nicely.
So far we have 3 deer (200+ lbs meat) and 1 elk this year, time to purchase a third freezer. Plus a generator to keep all this meat protected. I will start fishing again after hunting season is over.

Re: Son scores again
I know someone, who knows someone, who took a quick pic...
Please post the whole elk pics, or the pretty pics after taxidermy...
Yes -- he does mean Nov 16...
Congrats to the son -- he'll have a hard time topping that one -- but he has a lot of years left too.
Awesome.

Re: Son scores again
 Very nice!
I spent a lot of time in that area, but didn't see a thing. Congratulations on a full freezer.
I spent a lot of time in that area, and all I saw were the tons of other hunters. It was unfortunate that Longview Fibre closed down a large section of land because it pushed a lot of hunters into other areas.

Re: Son scores again
Congrats on the great elk .
I am gonna be doing the same hunt next week, so maybe we will bump into eachother. I am very excited to hunt as I haven't hunted all year because of college. It's good to know that there are bulls like that around home, so hopefully I can bag one too.

Re: Son scores again
Awesome job!!
I would recommend that you keep your eyes out for violators in your area as I know of 3 people who were cited in your area for everything from quads behind locked gates, to shooting an elk for someone else, to having 2 cows and a bull down.
Good to see that the legitimate hunters can still get their animals!!!
