Default Which gloves do fish prefer--and why?

Ive seen a few posts about fingerless fishing gloves relating to their damage to released fish, and am wondering if there is any science behind it! Ive always used wool fingerless, because they are warm when wet, but recently purchased a pair of Kenai neoprenes--they're Ok and Ill continue to use them if they truly reduce mortality. Any opinions or Facts?

Fish prefer mittens. Real little ones, so their fins don't flop around in them. sorry, it's late and I'm going to bed now.
