Nehalem

Hey everyone
I was wondering if anyone has been fishing the Nehalem. Are there still fish there? I have done very well in the past Novembers and will be coming home from alaska for the winter. Any info will help. I really don't want to fight the crowds on the Wilson. I will be fishing from the bank and then out of a boat on the weekend. Thanks

I briefly fished the lower Nehalem below the falls on 11/12 and did not see any fish rolling. The river looks great though - and the scenery worth the trip. An occasional fishermen - you can pretty much pick your spot.

Good weather this past weekend. I threw sandshrimp and eggs at 'em under a bobber, but no takers.

Went to the North Fork hatchery today and watched a couple of guys fish with no luck. Several dark fish rolling and numerous dead spawners on the bank. Will need rain to bring in some fresh fish. Good luck if you go.
