For all it's worth, is it worth it for 3 more years, or go 4 stroke???

Bite the bullet Riv Rat and go 4 stroke. You won't regret it. my 2 cents worth.

You must mean $2500.00 for a rebuild.

Considering a new four stroke will run you 5 times that, a rebuild sounds good to me.
