Default Any recent Clack reports?

I have heard rumors of a few fish in the clack. Any recent reports would be appreciated. I'm thinking about hitting it on Sunday. Thanks.

I have heard of a few things, and have been fishing the regular bank spots pretty heavily with no real results so far. I havnt been out too much this last week but my recommendation to you is try to cover alot of water that is a little more out of the way then the typical spots, and mix it up to see if you have any results. Id get out early and plan on doing some walking for real results. And be careful out there, the water current is swift! Good luck!

On my recent Clack trip, I hooked zero fish.

I see a few fish being caught on sand shrimp. Things are still slow.

I spent 2 hours on the river this afternoon and nothing. No one had any fish on the bank either. I drove to Riverside and talked to a few boaters and they also did poorly. The water level is up a bit and there is a lot of volume. The color/clarity looked ptety good to me. It should be droping and in good shape on Sunday.

Was out this afternoon. Saw one winter steelhead on the bank.

Got one on jig/float at McIver Tuesday. Went today and thought someone was giving away free beer somewhere...LOTS and LOTS of people. Same at Barton. I need to find some lesser-populated spots. Gave up and went to Eagle Creek where there were....LOTS and LOTS of people. No success.

Fished above carver today for a few hrs and went 1-1. Lots of other boats and only a few with fish. The water color and level was perfect.

Mophile's got it right. I went by the Carver boat ramp today and it looked like you needed to bring your own bath tub to fish out of. Lot's & lot's of people. Cabin Fever was high and people could finally get out. River is running a little high but color was good.

Good luck & tite lines

Bob
