Default Spinners and tuffline

I was wondering if any of you use tuffline or similar when fishing with spinners? My reason for asking is that I have a spinning rod I use for jig fishing that I would like to use with spinners also without changing out the line. I would use a mono leader incase I got snagged.

It works for me; hi-viz XP 4/20# w/10# fluoro leader.
Read past spinner threads and Jed Davis' book "Spinners for STS" for techniques.

All I use anymore is braided line for salmon & steelhead. Use Fireline for steelhead and knot about 8' Ultragreen on the end via a 4X surgeons knot. Finally found knot that the Fireline would not cut through (was the case with blood, double uni knots). I think the no-stretch allows you to feel the throb of the spinner more, especially with the larger spinners.

Using braided line for spinner fishing is fine. Tie it to a swivel and use a mono leader. The swivel will help stop the line twist.

Power Pro 30 lb. is the way to go.

I tie on 4 to 6 ft of leader, really don't have line twist issue with my # 2 spinners.
My # 3 and up have a barrel swivel built in.

One trick to reduce line twist is to stop reeling with about 8 feet of line out anf give your line a few seconds to untwist, then reel in to the distance you're comfy casting with.

I use 30lb Power Pro with about 10 ft of 8lb ultra green joined with a uni to uni. I have caught many steelhead with this setup, without the knot ever breaking. (Knock on wood) I also have had to break of many snags, and can only remember the uni to uni breaking once. I also, like a couple of the other guys said, have barrel swivels on my #3 & #4 spinners.
