I don't know about this brand name, but something like it is very helpful. I don't have one on my boat, but then I LIKE having to buy new props.

From the picture it looks good to me

IMHO I think that the Troll Prop Saver will do a better job of protecting from impacts from the side. If all you hit is gravel or sandy bottom your first chioce would be fine. Just my 2 cents

I have the River runner on my duck boat (25 hp). I've yet to hit something REAL hard, but it sure helps on logs and sand bars....So far thumbs up!

Default Mac's River Runner Prop Guard???

Greetings All - I just purchased a 5hp Merc Long shaft to use on my drift boat for springers. I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Mac's River Runner Prop guard. See Mac's River Runner

It seems like it would be worth the investment. I appreciate any advise from the experts out there. Good Fishing - Drifter.

I have one of these prop guards from Clackacraft. I've hit bottom a few times without any damage.

I second the prop guard from clackacraft, have saved me a couple times too...also, thay clamp on so no need to drill any holes on your motor.

Grasshopper put a Mac's Prop Saver on our new Yamaha 8. Looks like a good investment.
