Default Hammond Report

Should have been here yesterday! Never fails, we started just down stream from Hammond and trolled against the imcoming between there and 22. Picked up one legal silver and one dive by. Once the tide turned, we headed for the bridge on the Oregon side and trolled down stream to Hammond----big Notin', not even a bump. Moved to the Wash. side above the bridge, trolled down stream to the bridge and on take down but no fish. Picked up and ran to the church and trolled down stream, had three good hits with one fish almost to the net----net results "0". Moved to the Oregon side again between 27 and Hammond, two hits with no more fish in the box. Fished until 4:30, long day, good companions, but not much to show for it. Here for the next week or so, will report when I can.
By the way, some of the guys were getting in on some bites and produced some fish, just was not our day.

Anyone checking the water temp of the river. Often times this time of year we get an increased water temp in the river, fish are there, but not feeding. If thats the case, maybe all this rain will cool things down.

We waited in line for about 35 minutes this morning at Hammond to get in the water. Fished just outside the harbor up to bouy 22 with two take downs. Went back up to the sawdust pile and fished through the end of the tide with one chinook to the boat, before he spit the hook. It was a great day on the river with good friends. It seemed to be a slow day for many people.
Heard a few ifishers on the radio.
