Re: First Blood in Skrimmys drift boat(picture)
Thanks for the pic Marie.
The place - Wilson River. Put in at Mills and took out at Sollie. Fished with NoWishin-JustFishin (Bruce) Had a GREAT time today, thanks Bruce!
There weren't but about a dozen boats on the river all day. We didn't put in until 8AM and off the water before 3.
We caught the fish on rainbow birdies tipped with sand shrimp. Lost one other fish, so we went 2 for 3. Not a bad day, the river stayed about 7' all day and a nice steelie green.
So, after fishing in other ifisher's boats this Winter, it was finally time to make that first "official" drift for steelies in my own boat. I've had it for months now and it's seen tidewater, but it was time to get on the sticks myself.
Hogmassa, you gotta quit giving away our zipper lip river like that!! To quote Get Bent....."Don't make me come over there!"
Zaq, where you been hiding lately? Let's fish!

Re: First Blood in Skrimmys drift boat(picture)
Oh, hurt me!
Wait a minute!
That was FISH blood in your boat? Oh, man, you promised about 173 others of us that we would put first blood in the boat. What's up with that?
OK, can I put the first human blood in the boat?

Re: First Blood in Skrimmys drift boat(picture)
Hogmassa, I already beat you to the punch on first human blood in the boat too! Hey, if you didn't have such a busy "social schedule".....have you even been on the water since we whacked those nooks back in November? And no, the Tualatin doesn't count!
