Default St. Helens Sturgeon today

Three of us went out today in the fog, and I mean FOG. It was so thick we couldn't see across the Multnomah Channel. We managed one 44 inch keeper and about 15-20 shakers for 5 hours of fishing. We had a Sea Lion come up alongside the boat and then it went down and came up with a sturgeon in it's mouth so we must have been in a good spot. The sturgeon fishing got slow for a little while after the Sea Lion put on the show.

We were out at 7:30 am to day in the fog  and had no trouble catching sturgeon (shakers) we had on @ 42 - 41 1/2 depending on how you held the tape, and a fat 41. We had a sea lion catch 5 sturgeon within 100' of the boat. 2 were keppers for sure; they looked liked four footers and three smaller ones ...Ross

I'm heading out there saturday, but I'd not a big sturgeon fishermen. I have done well along the fence and in front of Columbia City. Is there anything else I should know about that area.
