Default Crabbing or Clamming ?

Me and my buddy were concidering a crabbing or clamming trip out at the coast, somewhere between seaside and astoria. But we don't have a clue on where to go and is there somewhere you can rent a boat and traps? Any advise would be much appreciated Don't need any secret spots just somewhere to get crabs or clams if still available. Might even think about Tillamook if it is a better location.

The Jetty fishery in Nehalem bay ( near barview) has boats and crab traps (rings) you can rent. It is alot of fun if you are just getting into the sport. You can rent a boat and four rings for two hours for 50.00 ( if I recall correctly)
It can be productive if you work hard. You have to pull those rings in real fast to get any keepers.
