Default Wilson today with Scrimmy

Had a most enjoyable day with Scrimmy in His driftboat today on the Wilson. It was marginal for height (7 foot) but was perfect for color. We got one apiece and each had another chance. I think all 6 boats on the river had at least one fish. Also saw no bank fishermen. Just like the old days no pressure and there are fish there.

Pulling plugs at 7 feet on the Wilson would be ALOT of work. Not many would be man enough to do that!

Weekend Warrior, yep, we saw you. We were the boat that was just below you when you pulled anchor and went up 50 yards. We slid into where you were and picked up those fish there. We were in the shiny looking Alumaweld that Flatfish has nicknamed the pimpmobile!

Zaq, UG, nope, no plugs. Drifted the whole day. I'm certainly not good enough on the sticks to have pulled plugs in that water today!!

And Bruce, YES...it WAS a most enjoyable day, THANKS! We'll do it again for sure.

Saw you guys. Looked like you were having a great time.

Good job!

We were in the old gray fiberglass boat. We didn't do too bad either. Went 4 for 6 hookups, kept 2 for the dinner table and released the rest.

Seems like everytime I take some new friend for the first time we get into the fish.

Tried pulling plugs a couple of times, but just too much water.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Zaq, you not only skillfully ran plugs in heavy water that day, you did it in gail force winds. You're definitely one of the few out there with the huevos to handle that! And dangit if you didn't limit out in a half hour in those conditions!

He is still lousy on the sticks, but can catch fish. I was white knuckled all day when he was rowing.

Bruce, hey you came back alive didn't you? No charge for the "E ticket ride"!
Tom, you don't need to be too good on the sticks to run that stretch. But let's just say I won't be running the minefield any time soon!

Bruce is pretty darn good on the sticks and knows that river well.....we'll have to work on those hook setting reflexes though

At my age the fish is usually already in the hatchery before I feel it and set the hook

Why do I feel another "Impeller Turns" chapter will be forthcoming when I get in your ride, Skrimmysan?

It isn't traditional to row 360s around the hole, but I guess you cover the water that way!

360's? No extra charge for those!
