A little sloppy?

One of those days you just don't want to be there if you ask me. 7 seconds is below my limit by itself and 4 foot WW on top will rearrange everything in the boat. (Including your kidneys and your teeth (or tooth in some cases)

I'm with Mel. This is the time of year where we chomp at the bit to get out, and sometimes we let this desire fog our common sense.

While these weather predictions are typcially "worse case" scenarios for the area mentioned, how many times have we been out only to find that they were wrong and things got worse than the predictions? I wouldn't want to be out there if things got worse than what they're already calling for.

Just my opinion but I think we've got another weekend of cutting bait.

Ah yes- If they are lying that's another matter, but if it is really 6 or 7 on 6 or 7 with seas on top......

maybe I got the old man's advise wrong but he always told me that if the sum of the wind waves and swells is a greater number than the seconds between waves, it's a good day to stay in ... we're going to listen to the 9PM forecast and then again at 3:30 AM Saturday to listen & check the forecast at Newport, if it is ok then we'll make the run out for chinooks, if not, I have some yard/house/boat maintenance that can be done.

Well said Mel. Having fished the CR for over 30 years I've had one too many trips where my kidneys ended up by my tonsils . There is lots of fishing left and I will pick my days . This is not a weekend I'm going to pick. 10' tides on top of the prediction. Bad news.
