Estaury Sturgeon slay fest!!!!Pictures available

Went fishing on the big C in the estaury for sturgeon. Fished with long hunter, Bait dunker and lqqkastar. Hooked 30 sturgeon today on anchovies in 65 feet of water. The sturgeon varied from size of 20 inches to 51. We each caught a keeper. Pictures coming soon.

Right on! I just watched America Outdoor Journal. They were fishing sturgeon near Astoria. I can't wait to make a trip, I am craving some sturgeon action. I may take my boat down to Deep river the 18th and 19th if I don't go halibut fishing.

yesss, it was a great day overall for gater fishing, the bite started off kinda slow, so we moved, and then moved again then at our third spot spot we were picking up i bite here and there, so then it became a tough call, move or fish this this "so,so" spot, and about that time bait dunker
noticed a seam about 30' off to the port side. so we pulled up and moved over to it.

we couldnt keep the fish off if we wanted to, we had a couple of double hookups and it looked we might even get a tripple hook up, it seemed like those fish knew about the 45" limit, we caught quite a few in the 42-44 15/16 range
but we ended up with keepers for everybody

it was great fishing with a bunch of ifishers.
thank you jetsledder for getting us out there and on top of the fish, and it was really nice to meet you longhunter and bait boy, all these guys are a class act and are welcome on my boat anytime i hope to do this again reeeel soon

Its customary, when giving an Astoria Gator report, to give out the exact GPS location so 30 of us can be on that spot next Saturday. Being you over looked that detail, Feel free to PM it to me at your convienence.
I had a trip planned for Astoria yesterday but work decided we were behind makin bomb parts for Uncle Sam...... 28 hours of OT this weekend.
I assure you that I was there is spirit!!!

Sorry wont give any gps cordinates. Dont have a gps. But will tell where caught after estaury closes to retention.

thanks jetsledder, it was a real pleasure fishing with you and the rest of the crew.i cant wait to go out and hammer down on some more gators soon! next time we WILL have larger anchovies, and maybe jack will actually remember the shrimp! maybe next trip we will have only 50" and over in the boat!
