Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
I heard that you can get Rotary Salmon Killers or something like them without paying $3-$4 for them pre-tied. Does anyone know where you can get them cheaper, possibly without the leader and hook? I have heard that you have to get them in bulk so if anyone has some to sell I would buy them. Thanks for the help.

Englunds in Newport. ~$1 each, bags of 100. If you get clear with the chartreuse fin, I'll split a bag with you.

Pilar uses them like salt in a brine factory. The only place I can currently find them is at Englunds. You can oreder by phone. They may not have a whole bag on hand...I know from experience!

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
As of Friday, they (Englund's in Newport) had a whole bag (of that color) on the shelf.
As I was busy soaking-up the great city of Newprot and all it had to offer on Friday, I of course had to stop by Englunds and make a deposit $$$.
I found that the un-rigged RSK's are much more user friendly when you take off all your clothes and roll around in them. Those hooks are pointy!
I think that's how the BeeGee's hit those high notes maybe.
Pilar, ifin' you're looking to split your half of the bag, I'll gladly pick up 25 from ya. I sure like those little jobbers.

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
I have picked them up at Tackle time in Warrenton. Last time was $1.50. I would split a bag if possible. Sure would like to mix the colors though. I seem to have better luck with different colors depending on the conditions. Is it possible to buy them bulk in a couple of colors?

I too would be interested in splitting a bag with someone or 4 ways even better. Okay the more splits the better.

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
Sunday leaving town Englunds was closed so I stopped at Harry's. $1.20 each as singles and he had 4 colors. More importantly I got the loader for $13.
Skein had one and I liked it. When I get my boat set up, one will be screwed to the lid on the bait holder.

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
what about the new RSK's that have the E-chip in them and replacable fins? Anyone tried those up here? You don't need the loader with those, and no pinched fingers either.

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
Loaders are an inpossible price for what you get but once you try them you think they are worth most any price! All I use are the green fin clears...but then I haven't felt the need for anything else yet

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
I believe I saw them at Bob's in Longview when I stopped in there after smelt dipping. They were sold in pkg of 3, but don't remember the price.

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
I'd be in for half a bag as well! If someone is going to order, let me know.
Or lets get a solid count and I'll do the ordering.
Bluewater?
Pilar - 50
Smily - 25
Crabby - 50
Me - 50
Anyone else?

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
Dave - How about I start another thread and let everybody know that we are ordering mass quantities so they can get a shot at it?

Stupid question time...
What are you using the RSKs for? Flatties, Salmon, or TUNA!!??( please note that while I am green in the ways of the dogs, I do know how to spell TUNA!!)
thanks,

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
we are using them to make herring dance. What eats them is a smorgasboard. Mostly salmon but halibut too at the pile and a ling won't pass them up.
Tuna? Maybe...on the slide. Don't think anybody has tried it...........yet.

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
Bug flicker- Those are all that I used last season and never had a problem with them. Where did they break in your experience? It is something that I will definately watch out for now that I know. Thanks a lot for the info. Guess it is a good thing I have a bunch of the old ones still. Thanks again Trigger out

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
Crabbait- What do you cast in the slide? I have used pretty much everything, and have come to the conclusion that the Fish Trap is the best to get those tuna to stay up for a little while. Keeps the weight of a live bait tank out of the boat as well. Just a little thought. Trigger

Re: Where to get RSKs w/out leader/hook
I would like 25 as well so that would make an even 200. Just tell me where and when I need to pick them up. How long does it take to get them? I don't need them for a few weeks but I want to make sure that I can get them.

Do it Steve!
Let's get this going. I only have about 20 now and can see myself burning through a few more before summers ends.
