Default Clack River Level Help!!

Planning a trip to the Clack this Saturday, following T-jet who knows the river, it will be my first time. Question is river levels. I was reading "Fishing in Oregon"/Sheehan who points out that the best river level is from 3.6' to 5.4' give or take... Is this for summer levels? Went to the NW river levels and looked for the Clack, at Oregon City it's 26' and at Estacada 13' Is this still fishable? What are typical winter river levels? I live is Salem so I don't get up there much to look at color, if running at 26' color???

13' is fine... anything 11.5 ish to 13.5 ish will fish I consider 12-12.5 perfect. there are links on i-fish to get almost up to the hour river level reports. it will get as low as 10.5 in summer!

Swim Shady...Several years ago someone decided to add a "1" in front of the levels on the Clack guages. I just ignore the "1" when I check levels on the Clack.

Just goes to show you how outdated the Fishing in Oregon book is.

12.5' to 13.5' up near Estacada is when we do the best. When it gets close to 14' it gets tough to fish.
