I did it!!!! Finally..... (pic)

This report is a bit late (yesterday) but has a great ending!

Started out the morning meeting Fisherfield to take his (new to him) driftboat down one of our local tributaries. Dropped my truck off at the take-out and proceeded up to the launch. Got the boat in the water and proceeded to head downstream to see if we could find some fish. Saw Fshklr as we headed out. Nice to see you again.

Proceed down a ways and started to fish. Saw a few caugh but alas, none for us. Continued downstream and had some fun, laughs, and interesting moments. We were planning on being done by noon and home. Got to the takeout and loaded the boat on the trailer. Nothing broke, only one plug lost. No fish though. Thanks for the ride this morning Jeff. I had a great time. Will do it again.

I decided after leaving the takeout to go see if there was any action on the bank. Got to the hole and proceeded down to the water. Decided I would make a few casts and leave if nothing seemed to be happening. First cast.... Small birdsnest. Got that fixed and made my second cast. Nothing. Third cast....


22lb Springer on Bobber 'n Eggs. First Trib Springer and First Bobber n' Eggs Springer.

Got cleaned up from this guy and rebaited. Next cast, fish on again.... Long line released though. :tongue: Next cast, fish on again..... Released a nice nate. No more for me after that but it still turned out to be an awesome day.

And that folks, is how you do it! Nice job Steve. I think I'll be hitting local trib tomorrow, hopefully for my first limit of springer trib chrome! Sure I've got two, but it would take two of the one I got on Friday to make one of those!
