Re: Astoria Gators are coming!
Bait = Whatever is working... anchovies most of the time
Tide - Either... Incoming fish deep... Outgoing fish shallow...
Next suggestion - Read Tacklebusters reports and
Tight lines...

Re: Astoria Gators are coming!
I wished I had a boat, then I could answer some of the questions. I love to fish for gators, but I have only done it on the willy.

Re: Astoria Gators are coming!
good pics gang!
The wife and I will be down there teaming up with tacklebuster and his wife in a few weeks. Gonna be more fun than the law allows!
I'm even considering a flyfishing outing down there, I just know they can be caught on bucktail streamers with some scent.

Re: Astoria Gators are coming!
GBS,
I remember an article once about exactly that, except these guys were fishing for oversize with a scented fly.
I'm pretty sure it was an STS issue from a couple of years ago.
pretty wild!!

Re: Astoria Gators are coming!
Hey John...what's it like to catch a Springer? I seem to have forgotten...they haven't showed up yet in the Rogue. How come we don't have gators?
Don't mind me, I'm just whining
