salmon or steelhead?
I was checking out this site http://www.pacificcity.org/photos/main-dories.html
and got into a little debate as to the fish in the top left photo. when the photo is enlarged it says steelhead (the photo is from 1917). So what do you all think are the fish in that photo steelhead or Salmon. Curious as to what you all think.

Re: salmon or steelhead?
They all look like Chinook Jacks to me except for the adult in the middle. Grant

Re: salmon or steelhead?
Look at the tails. They don't look like steelhead or chinook. I'm guessing coho

Re: salmon or steelhead?
First thing I noticed was the forked tails. Salmon, I definitely agree.

Re: salmon or steelhead?
O.K.,
a little more insight as to where this discussion got started. I was viewing this site where the topic origanated http://media5.hypernet.com/ubb/ultim...c;f=6;t=002046
And from there we started talking about it here at work (we all like to fish) and we went round and round. I sided on the picture being of salmon. but, thought i'd throw it out here on ifish too, just for the fun of it. So keep the responses comming and have fun looking at the old pictures.
