Got the truck's 1st blood!!

Thanks to Dave at Doherty Ford for the screamin deal. I wasn't even lookin for a new truck but I couldn't refuse the deal. Basically I saved over a hundred bucks a month for a new powerstroke. The v10 didn't get the best mileage.

Anyway, I was supposed to meet Grandpa loves to fish at 2PM at the house to go fishin, I was finishing up at Doherty till 3PM. We hit the water at 4PM or so. We had 2 of my kids and grandpas grandson. At about 6:15 my rod goes off, I jumped up and gave it a second to stick. Picked up the rod and NADA Granpa looks at his rod and sez, " I don't think my rod is hitting the bottom(at 50 ft). FISH ON. and back in the water. Not 1 minute goes by and FISH ON!! and into the box. Both fish were cut plug herring with some of bernies secret sauce(Garlic) Man that stinks up the boat. All in all a great day for 3 hours of fishin. (We ended up 2 for 3).Especially in the truck's maiden voyage.

Oh yeah, green label cut plug herring at 16-20 pulls, 2 fish with no fish flash and 1 with.

And all on the King James aye Rick? Folks, I witnessed this strange event and I could have sworn Rick was dragging a gill net out there. Kudos to ya and good job on the fishies. FIRST BLOOD!!!!

Good job Rick. We fished hard all morning and just as we were giving it up---fish on. One high teens to the boat . Gave it another hour for nothing. We must have quit a bit early. I'll be out Tuesday to your zipperlip spot.
