Default Redemption!

At long last my dry spell has come to an end Fished below Kelly Point Saturday with my good friend Kent. Dropped the hook about 6:15 am in about 25 feet of water and back bounced Kwik Fish. About noon my fishless frustration was coming to a boil and I told Kent that "if I dont get at least a pound down today I'm gonna hang it up till the shad start" It wasn't long after that my rod buries and I stand up,and am waiting for line to peel. The reel finally gave about a 1 second zzzttt, well that was good enough for me. Moments later Kent expertly nets the cutest little 10 pound hatchery hen. Now that my confidence is restored I can't wait to get back out there. I'm still waiting for Kent to E-mail me the pics of the monster. When he does I'll attempt to post them. A K15 sardine wrapped glad clown with Mikes anise gel did the trick.

Now the pressure is really on. Friday I am taking my dad out so he can get his first springer ever. He's 80 something and springerless.......Talk about a drought!! Some of his catching prowess rubbed off on me but most of it landed on my brother Steve (man I hope he reads this )

Awesome Roger

Once you get the first one of the year, the rest come alot easier and a whole lot faster

We brought home four between Erica and myself on Sunday fishing below the big concrete wall. Much thanks to Dan and Randy for making that possible

If your fishing Saturday Roger you should come down and hang out with us.

Yo Dipnet, I love those new gremlins you add on your posts. One of these days when I get this computer stuff down I sure would like to know how you do it.

Way to go Roger

Sitting on the hook this year has been kinda slow for me as well...Fortunatley i have gone on a couple trips in a boat that is conducive to fishing in the wind element...Success has been better in that arena...

Hope all is well...

Take care buddy...

Way to go h20, now the others will come easy, especially since it will be getting better as we enter the next two or three weeks.

BTW, unless you're absolutely sure you're in "THE SPOT" for that day, if you go a couple hours without action, try changing location. Lately (and rather weird for springers) deeper has often been better.

See ya out there!
