Default Quite days on the Nestucca

After spending a very relaxing day on the Nestucca last month. I started to wonder if anyone else has had any good experiences out there. The other fishermen around me seemed to be having lots of luck but then again they were all locals and knew the river better than I did. Any good secrets about the Nestucca out there.

We fished it up untill a month ago and had a good amount of luck jig fishing. We covered lots of water and changed colors often till we found a biter and it seemed to work for us.

Yeah; we stuck to jigs for most the day. We caught one on sand shrip but for the most part we were getting jiggy with it.

Have always had excellent success with some local guides. Private email for names etc.

I end up spending a lot of time fishing out there. My in-laws have a house in Pacific City just up the street from Bob Straub.

The best thing you could do to learn the secrets of the river is book a trip with Marty Peterson.
