Hagg Lake today
I hit hagg lake this afternoon with 4 other friends. Got to the lake by 5. Left at sundown with 15 trout. Fishing from the opposite bank from the entrance. Caught all on green powerbait. -david

Hey T4T! Didja see any bass caught up there this weekend? Probably a bit cold yet, but curious. Talk later. Bob.

Re: Hagg Lake today
I dont know about T4T. But the only thing I saw other than a trout was one dead perch floating right off shore. I think someone must have caught it and not wanted to bring it home. -david

Re: Hagg Lake today
I rarely see any bassmasters catching a fish. In 20-30 trips in the last 3 years, I've seen 2 bass caught. Of course they don't all fish where I do and I'm not watching them constantly, and maybe(?) they are zipperlip catching them on the sly  Probably I'm not the one to ask about bass fishing

Re: Hagg Lake today
Yah guy`s! I saw a 6.2# smallie caught outta there a few weekends ago. Plus a pretty good bunch of smaller ones. There was a tourney goin` on. The big one was supposedly caught on a crankbait. I got a few small ones up there last spring, and hooked into a monster that I never got to see. Sure was a thrill! Got addicted to bassin` only a couple years ago and really enjoy it. My fishin` and work pard got me hooked on them. Used to be a pure trout, salmon & steelhead nut. But the fun that those little monsters offer are hard to beat! Glad to hear you all had a good one up there! Might check it out from the bank this coming weekend. Will try to hit the spot where I hooked that monster. Catch ya`ll later. Bob.

Re: Hagg Lake today
Went out to Hagg Lake on easter for A picnic and a litle fishing with the family. I tried almost every lure in my tackle box from the shore across the lake from the boat rental place and got no bites. However on red worms me and the kids caught several small yellow perch in the 5-8 inch range about as fast as you could keep the baited and back in the water. Although this was entertaining and I would have enjoyed myself regardless of the catch I would like to know where to catch some decent sized Perch. Anyway it was a fun day and the kids had a blast.

Re: Hagg Lake today
Fished for a half a day at either Brownlee or Oxbow dam a few yrs ago. Cant remember which, and didnt know exactly where to fish so ended up right below the dam . A lady friend hooked a huge carp about 40# on my trout pole, using a spoon, boy what a tussel! There were thousands of those carp circling around in there. Heard the fishin` was good there but just didnt know the area well enough. On the way back to Ontario we stopped at several of the small streams in the mtns of Idaho and caught tons of small cuthroat. Beautiful little streams all over the place. Idaho didnt have a size limit on them. Only bonked a few that were hooked too deep.Grasshoppers were the ticket, and there were plenty flying around. Good eatin`! Ff.

Re: Hagg Lake today
Last October at Brownlee, we didn't keep any perch less than 10" and still caught a lot more than we wanted to clean.
I've caught some nice perch in the Tualatin, but never in any great quantity.
