Steelie on the Nestucca

I caught my first Steelie....ever. Drifted the Nestucca from Beaver to Three Rivers. Caught the fish on a Blue & Silver Quickfish. The only hit for the day and the only fish hooked. I got it to the boat and saw the adipose fin so I knew it was a native. Unhooked the critter and watched the one and only salmonoid fish I ever caught, all 29 inches swim away. Sure was a pretty fish.

Great job. Thats a pretty popular spot to catch your first one. It will be one of many, I'm sure.
