I never did get the snow off and it didn't help matters that it snowed most of the day.

Spray it with water and hit them with a long pole.

One of the issues with this situation is that the cables are fixed on one end of the pond and run through pulleys on the cross beam on the other end and down and to the square concrete blocks you see there which are about 5 to 8 feet higher than normal due to the weight of the snow.

I have been told that as the weight comes off the net a "cascade" effect can occur as the weight moves making more snow fall off making the weights move....you get the picture. The net can spring back in a hurry. :shocked: :shocked:
