Default Newbie and fish story

Same here I have been a looker for a while. Just signed up this week. I have enjoyed the info and stories.
Well here's a long story told short. The first time I went to Alaska I was given a guided trip by a trucking company. We stayed on a river out of King Salmon. In the afternoon 5 of us plus a guide climbed into a 17' jon boat and went fishing for Kings down river.( the guide and myself were the only ones that had ever fished before)The guide was running the tiller and I was the next seat forward. We were fishing for not more than 5 minutes and the guy 2 seats up from the guide hooked a fish. It jumped once, twice and the third time in the guide's lap. 28 lbs. I used his stanley thermos to cold [potty mouth] the fish. That is the first time the guide had ever really caught a fish. That is my story and I am sticking to it.

Great story! Was it hooked in the mouth? See some of the other posts (if you haven't already) and you'll get this one ...

Welcome from a fellow newcomer!
