We launched out of BB's on Sunday, but I only saw one boat head up the Lewis for the short time I was there. Everyone was headed for the Columbia. There were several boats trolling the mouth, but most were anchoring over next to S Island. I still think it's a little early for the tributaries (other than the Willy), but I could be wrong. Your guide would know best.

Well from my expierience on fishing the lewis River wich has only been the last 5 years and only the last 3 years for springers, I think it is still safe to say that it is a little early for them. I was looking in my past journal that I keep for fishing and the earliest fish I have caught on the lewis was on the 13th of April but the numbers didn't start to climb until around the 23rd of april. If it were me I would wait a couple 2 to 3 weeks before I really start to put my time in on the lewis. I hope this helps....Good luck

Every morning I hear a few sleds running the river. Give it a week or two and you should not have any trouble finding fish.....Ross
