Default A little gearing up for the season.

I just thought I'd throw out a few new things I'll be using this winter. They'd be good Christmas presents too.

In the last few weeks I've been useing a new set of spinning reels and I've been very pleased with how smooth they have been.

They are the Spheros 3000FA by Shimano. This reel is made for salt water use with stainless ball bearings and a water proof drag system, should be just what the doctor ordered for the North West rainy season.

And for line on these reels I've been running Sufix, this stuff is geat! No memory and low stretch. Up until now my favorite spinning real line has been Magnathin, I'll be using that until I run out and then I'm fillin' up with Sufix. I got it down at the Great American Tackle Shop.

Mikes came out with a new bait scent called "Lunker Lotion" It's was good for me down fishing fall chinook so I expect it to work good for steelhead too.

More Cheaters and rubber worms. I've been using a lot of Cheaters for the last three years now, I think they tend to float higher and hang up less. As for the rubber worms, I've already been getting some fish on them this winter.

And last is to keep my feet cofortable and warm. Merino Wool Trekking socks by Head. My wife found these at Costco, three pair for $10. They're nice
