Default St. Helens Marker #72(Friday)

Fished today with Tuna Breath and a couple other buddies between #62 and #72 on the Oregon side today. We anchored up in a very loose hog line with about 10 total boats. The inside slot was taken at about 4:00 or so in the morning. There were about 25 boats in the general area we fished. The water depth was about 15ft when we started and 11ft at the end of the tide. We saw about 20 or so fish for the day. We hooked and landed two fish. One was a 10 to 12lb. crome bright keeper Steelie on a natural Prawn. The other was a 12 to 14lb. keeper Nook on a Kwick fish with some Sardine Lunker Lotion. The inside boat landed 4 or 5 fish. They also lost what appeared to be larger 20lb.or better fish. The 4 boats anchored in the middle of the river didn't do so well. Trollers working the middle waters did ok. I noticed the same boat hooking up a couple of times. All in all it was cold this morning with a steady wind. Then it warmed up as the tide petered out and we called it quits. Great day with some great guys.
