Default electrolysis repair?

does anyone know about fixing electrolysis corrosion to an aluminum boat. my dad inherited a riveted starcraft and it has a few spots that are beginning to leak. can they be patched ... covered ... filled? anyone have experience with this kind of thing. i live in the milwaukie area if you have any shop recommendations.

thanks.

Are you sure it's not loose rivets?

I had the same problem in an old Lund. I patched it with Marine-Tex. You can buy it at Fisherman's.

Black Jack roof patch. Man, that stuff sticks to anyone and everything. Keep it below the water line, wear old clothes always and leave it in the water after application. Never put it on a trailer unless you intend to leave it there forever.
It catches fish without a net. Just get them close to the boat and they stick right to it.

I am having repair work done on my boat right now because of electrolysis. I took it to Motion Marine in West Linn on a recommendation of a friend that had similar work done with his boat and was very happy with the work. Don't have my boat yet but I am very happy with the conversations I have had with them regarding how they are going to fix the problem. Hope this helps. Good luck.
