Default Will We Fish?

Just got off the phone with a fishing buddy who talked with an ODFW person who said the nets are out with 13,000 + fish the bad news according to this fellow is that because of the extreme pressure that you springer nuts are putting on the CR we may get one more week before they close it. I guess we should stop fishing on our own so the season will remain open longer. just as long as the majority user group gets it's share we can all sleep easy.

They better allow sport fishermen to get their share, especially now after giving the gillnetters all those fish.

I'm sure we'll get our share too. There is no way they can retreat after such a good gill net season.

Happened two years ago. They panicked and shut down the season at the end of April. Just in time for 50,000+ fish to go over the dam in two days. Then they opened it up again. They better not pull that crap again.

Like I said
If you don't see a rat you may have one
If you see Rat crap you may have a couple
If you see a rat you have a nest.

Who was the first to suggest this just might be a possibility.
If someone were to organize something, I would be the first to help and get involved.
We the Ifisher need to get organized, isn't this the purpose of ifish to keep us informed of the good and possibly the bad?

That's a total crock of pucky if it's true! After letting the netters get their fair share, we better get our shot at those URB's or i'm gonna be one freikin' ticked off fisherman!!!!

More yada yada yada...

Ain't gonna happen anytime soon....its easy to post things that incite folks to get all wound up, but extremely difficult to back these baseless statement up.

Am I worried about an early closure? Sure, but it ain't even close to that now. The fish are coming. Our current sport impacts are almost nothing. Go fish and stop worrying.
