Due to high water conditions on the crooked, LNF and I have opted to move over to the Deschutes and fish there for the weekend. We will camp friday and sat. night. We'll bring half our personal belonging, and yes Jon, I will bring a rain coat this time. Well, I otta!!!!
Leaving PDX at 3:30 friday to head out, set up camp near maupin, then start tossing the bugs.
Yuo can email myself or Jon if you want to firm up some details. Riverkeeper has some good spots and he's going to come out for the day too.

head into Maupin, go over the bridge and turn right. We'll be about a mile up off the main rodad along the river. Will camp somewhere there. May bring a few pontoons to use also.

The campsite right after you turn off the river going east? I one of the special needs folks that will need to pick up flies this week to keep up. Are you still packin' or should I hook up elsewhere? Sorry. Anyway, I gotta fish now or never. Let me know. I'm packing a big tent, truck, stuff. etc...

upriver from Maupin. look for either my white toyota tundra or LNF's toyota landcruiser wagon. We'll be camped right by the river. Glad you can make it! We'll be up near the locked gate. You can try us on a cell, it may work out there, just not sure.

Leaving around 2-4 ish. Big white Ram. Cell 317-5888. No use in the canyon but o.k. prior to the mountain. Escavators dodging a gas line on a remodel tomorrow so anything is possible for me.
