Traditionally there are places to Fish from the bank and I wouldn't drop anchor there or troll.
Traditionally there are places to anchor and I wouldn't Troll there.
Traditionally there are places to Troll and they are getting harder to find.

If anyone was stupid enough to drop anchor say at Meldrum bar about Fifty feet from the Bank what do you
think would happen ?

Anchor fisherman I have seen drop Popcorn in the water so the Seagulls will <swarm> on backtrollers hanging
behind their boat. So Now I am wondering how I am going to deal with the boats that are dropping anchor
where I troll. In the past I have run over their lines and yelled at them but I want to try another tactic.
Maybe they don't know better and I don't really want to create any new enemies if you know what I mean.

There certainly is no law against them doing that but Dang ! It sure can mess up a great trolling spot.

Any suggestions ?

Maybe just a good polite talking to? Myself, I dont know most of the traditional spots and if I was anchored and there first, or trolling, whatever, and someone came running over my lines and yelling at me, that wouldnt go over very well at all. But if someone came up and talked to me and let me know whats what then I could have learned something and maybe made a friend. Violence and confrontation will most likely only get the same response back.

I agree with rocky, but on the other side I believe there are those that do know what they are doing....for whatever reason? .... maybe mad because they did not get a fish and screw with someone else who knows? but there are those that will like abalone`s examples go across the grain and screw others up.
