Default CR Chrome - Part Deux

Hit the CR dark and early this morning, with longtime fishing amigo and Team Lutefisk co-conspirator OughtforTrouht and his thirteen-year old son Ben. We were the second boat out right behind AndyCoho.

The tide was still flooding so we decided to drag some herring around for awhile. Nada. As the tide turned we decided to sit on the hook in the usual “honey hole”. We hadn’t been there half an hour when we get a call from Silver Hilton (who’s your buddy?). Hey, the boat inside of us just landed one. Ok that’s cool. Twenty minutes later next call, hey we just released a big nate! Hmmm, well I may look dumb, but… . Up comes the gear and a few minutes later were anchored right beside Silver Hilton (who’s your buddy?). After several hours and not a lot of excitement, SHOWTIME. After a brief battle Brian lands this cute hatchery brat for a quick hickory shampoo..

A couple hours later his son Ben gets the pound down! Same result, nice cookie cutter hatchery fish.

I called home and said I’d be a little later than expected. Hoping for number three. But that was the end of the show for us. We busted out about three PM.
Me, hmmm, the skunk paid another visit. Oh well there’s always next time. Aren’t we fishermen an optimistic bunch !
Here’s a picture of Dad and Lad.

Thanks SH, always a pleasure fishing by you. By the way, you’re da buddy! See ya next weekend….
Well I'm tired and sunburned, time for bed!

Boy, smack was running hard today, wasn't it. It was kind of a internet fishing junkie party, with you guys on the south, and Fishslayer and team on the north. Or was it west and east? I can never tell... Anyway, agreed, darn fine day on the water. I share your pain in the skunked thang. I get tired of being net boy.

Got some pictures to download, once I get some sleep. Two 14 hour days in a row tires me out.

Hey Hey,
Went to the cut at Ackerman Island and hooked a beautiful nate yesterday.

Silver Hilton, you ara a fishing machine! Did you fish Saterday and Sunday? Sounds like you were just the net boy?

I'm gunna give it a go this afternoon again and see what happens. Marked a ton of fish so I'm feeling gooood.

WW, of course that's a driftboat. It's the SS Mr. Boat! And were just dumb enough to take it most anywhere. Bay, river it's even been in the ocean! Hey you gotta use the tools you have. We happen to have the low-tech type.
