Default Egg Cure Question

Before reading up on all the good egg cure posts, I cured several skeins of eggs using borax AND IODIZED SALT What adverse effect does iodized salt have on eggs [img]graemlins/1zhelp.gif[/img]

It probably won't have that much of an effect on the eggs but it'll have a big effect on the fish. Do your fishing buddies a favor and pitch 'em. I once brined a batch of jerky using iodized salt and they came out with a distinct metallic TWANG to them. Given the sensitivity of the fish smelling system, you could probably turn off the bite for a good mile or so of river.

On the other hand, who knows? Maybe fish will really like the iodine scent. At the very least, I would save them as the last bait of the day. If it's going to kill off the bite, it might as well be right before you leave.
