Default Bite timing....and another summer too

There was a thread last night from someone asking about the time of day most of the fish were caught. I replied on how most all of our fish were after nine or ten and most of them were from one to four in the afternoon. I feel this all has to do with water temps.

Today I started out earlier than I usually do becuase we have been having some warmer weather and I thought that maybe we would pick something up early.

The first two fish we caught were between 8:30 and 9:30 this morning. Then it was pretty quite until after 1 when we missed one and then picked up another. Just before quiting we lost another. I think we did catch some fish earlier because of the warmer water today (it started out at 40), but the fish are real spread out, and that had something to do with catching them late in the day also.

We ended up releasing a native buck and keeping one winter, a hatchery hen and one early summer buck. All three fish were around seven pounds.
