WRO scores his first of the season! (pic)
Well we were getting tired of putting in many many hours with no real sign that there is fish. We made a move from our normal haunts and found a cash load of salmon. We saw a TON of salmon caught today, and by the time you read this they should be to St. Helens and waiting to bite your Kwikers!
Today, Chris and I took our friend Ryan, Willametteriverdroughter, out for a springer trip. Not long into the day, pound down brown cow! First keeper to the Super Z for the season.
Thanks for going Ryan.
Details of todays mission:
16 feet of water (I think, my fish finder doesn't work)
3 foot dropper
5 foot leader
Fickle Pickle
Sardine wrap

And at roughly 20 miles per day, it shouldn't be long before another load of springer should be hitting Sellwood in two days. Hmmm... might have to take the day off.
Great job and thanks for the report!

Nice try, Zaq - I saw you on the river in St. Helens today and those fish will all be at Bonneville by tomorrow! I'd stay away from St. Helens and head upriver. Nice fish.

Re: WRO scores his first of the season! (pic)
I have heard the rumor that Ryan hooked and landed this fish all by himself . Bruce, I think the max-clip is only on the south coast . It was only a matter of time considering you been chasing them 2 times a week.
I'll wait for them to get to were I can get at them. The DB can hit the MC but I'll stay away from the big water.
Nice Fish , But remember you will always be a CCCCCCCCRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKEE EEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRR .

Re: WRO scores his first of the season! (pic)
Well the sun shines on every dogs <petunia> once and a while. Besides catching the springer, I had a special skill for catching XTC's quicky.
GRB,
I checked for a max clip, but found out that adiposes are okay.
Geoff,
Its all about persistance. Besides that fresh barbucued springer tonight made it all worth it..
Once again thanks again guys for a fun trip and showing me how well the ol carrot milk works. We'll have to try it again.

Very nice fish Ryan! Did ya eat the whole thing last night or just the tail section? The tail section is my favorite, no bones.
