Default fishing tale from a nubee

I have been viewing the site for some time now. I have so much fun out on the water... As a new member, I understand I am to post a fishing story... Being semi-retired and having time, last fall my son called and asked me to join him fishing along the shore in the Clackamette Park area. I went to GI Joe's for the necessary gear. The guy's at Joe's told me what would be best for that area. When I got home from GI Joe's, my husband asked if they told me the hot-spot? In the excitement of shopping for gear, I forgot to ask them which spots along the park had been doing well. So I called on the phone. I asked where along the shoreline of the park would be best???? He said down by Meldrums bar was a good place. I hadn't heard of Meldrums bar... So I asked him where it was. He patiencely went through the directions. I wasn't following the landmarks he was referencing... Still lost in the directions, I told him I didn't know where Meldrum's bar was.... I didn't drink and I wasn't familar with the bar.... But if he could give me directions in relation to the McDonald's by the park, I was sure I'd beable to find the fishing spot. (Opss.. I thought Meldrum's bar was a tavern.)
