Default Pink and purple.....Eclipsed the 100 fish mark....

Of course every one out there is using a lot of orange or pink colored steelhead gear but lately we have been using rags, jigs and corkies with a pink and purple combo and catching some nice fish. The corkie I'm talking about is a pepto bismal pink with purple scale, they really like it. Eggs have been our go to bait.

In the last week we broke and then passed by the 100 fish mark in less than 20 trips and the numbers are still climbing.

The runs not over yet but has slowed a bit since this last big blow out, now the fish seem to be a bit more spread out but still available in great numbers.

Lots of nice bright ones around too, every fish I saw today was a chrome hen, every fish we've caught in the last three days have been chrome hens. I even saw about a 30 pound chrome chinook released yesterday on the Wilson.

Don't give up, get out there and put in some time, cover some water and use different techniques and you should get into some fish, especially on the rivers with brood stock programs as those fish are starting to show up in better numbers too.
