Default Wilson river report?

I might actually have a chance to fish this weekend, and could really use some hints on the Coastal rivers.

Are there many fresh hatchery steelhead still in the Wilson or Trask this time of year? And what part of the river would be most likely to hold these critters this late in the winter run? (upper/lower river or between road X and Y would be great , or more specific if somebody wants to PM me a honeyhole...right!)

Thanks

Default Re: Wilson river report?

I went out to the Wilson earlier this week. Didn't touch a fish. The conditions were very similar to those of Summer. Low, clear water. I'd imagine this time of year you're going to mainly get into native fish. However, with all of the bright hatchery fish that people keep posting pics of... You gotta figure there some still out there. I don't think any particular area of the river(upper/lower, whatever..) is better than any other. But I'm also not an expert on the subject. Check your PM too.
