Default Where to fish out of Westport?

Just looking for some general info on where to troll herring out of West Port. Are guys fishing the south channel on the south side of Puget Island or do you need to fish the North side of the Island? Any info would by appreciated. Ok to e-mail me directly if you need to. Thanks.

Ok here is the top secret info, but don't tell anyone I told ya. Where the slough comes out into the Columbia river there is a pile dike on the right side, fish it during the outgoing tide, use Kwikfish, herring, spin-gloes, the normal stuff you use while anchored. Ok now for the incoming tide, run down river, say about 5 miles, a little more or alittle less, you will come to an island on your left hand side, thats tennasillie island, there is a channel between it and the Oregon side, thats cliffton channel, troll there, along with the other 100 boats. Troll either herring or spinners or kwikfish. Now don't tell anyone.
