I had the last few dasy off and today it was back at the Columbia.
We started at 7:30 this morning, there's no need to get out too early with the tide late like it is.
It was right into the fish right off the bat, then it slowed for us but on the first push of incoming we got into them again.
We hit another slow time up until about an hour before high and then it broke loose and we couldn't keep 'em off. Unfortunatly it took from 1:00 until about 4:30 to get our last four "keepers". Those last few are always the hardest. We ended up catching 37 fish just to get a limit of 16 hatcheries. 10 of them were chinook! I'd love to have a 10 chinook day some where else when we could keep them!
We caught fish in all the traditional spots but we have been getting them deeper than normal. None less than 16 pulls, on down to 25 pulls.
There has been a lot of attention on the Oregon side as well although I havn't tried over there yet this year they have been getting lots of fish there too.
Well, two more days out here and then I'll be back home in Clackamas.
